Test Results
Some results can be given to you over the telephone, your Doctor may request a telephone consultation for you to be given your results over the telephone.
Please call between 12pm and 3pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times. Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
Specimens
If you have been asked by a clinician to bring a specimen to the surgery to be sent off to the laboratory to be tested, please could you make sure it is in the appropriate bottle and clearly marked with your name and date of birth.
You will need to place the specimen in the designated drop off container as directed by a member of the Reception Team - Please do NOT post any specimens through the letter box.
If you have not been asked by a clinician to produce a specimen/sample, we cannot send it to be tested.
