Treatment Room Nurses
Many of the things that you might think you need to see a doctor about can often be dealt with by our nurses, all of who have been trained to deal with medical problems; for some things the nurse is more experienced at dealing with the problem than a doctor.
Routine blood pressure checks, HRT and contraceptive prescribing, minor illness management and management of diabetes, coronary heart disease, asthma, and COPD and many other conditions come within their expertise.
All nurses providing care to patients with Long term conditions undertake further education diplomas in their specialist fields in order to gain further knowledge and skills to ensure high quality evidenced based care is provided to our patients.
Nursing and Health Promotion services are provided at both Market Deeping and Glinton sites.
Dr. Davies and Dr. Akram are the Lead GP’s for the Nursing Department.

Steph is one of our Registered Adult Nurses and also the Nurse Team Leader and joined the practice in June 2022, taking up the role in Jul 2023.
Steph is a member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for the management of the Treatment Room consisting of Nurse, Healthcare Assistants, and Theatre Staff. She also specialises in the treatment of diabetes long term conditions.
Emily is one of our Registered Adult Nurses and also the Deputy Nurse Team Leader, she joined the practice in November 2019.
Emily is a member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for assisting and supporting the Nurse Team Leader to manage the Nursing team and Heath Care Support Workers. She also specialises in the treatment of diabetes long term conditions.

Healthcare Support Workers
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
