Treatment Room Nurses

Many of the things that you might think you need to see a doctor about can often be dealt with by our nurses, all of who have been trained to deal with medical problems; for some things the nurse is more experienced at dealing with the problem than a doctor.

Routine blood pressure checks, HRT and contraceptive prescribing, minor illness management and management of diabetes, coronary heart disease, asthma, and COPD and many other conditions come within their expertise.

All nurses providing care to patients with Long term conditions undertake further education diplomas in their specialist fields in order to gain further knowledge and skills to ensure high quality evidenced based care is provided to our patients.

Nursing and Health Promotion services are provided at both Market Deeping and Glinton sites.

Dr. Davies and Dr. Akram are the Lead GP’s for the Nursing Department.

Healthcare Support Workers

Our Health Care Support Workers provide a range of clinical support services, including phlebotomy, NHS Health Checks and long-term condition reviews.

They assist with theatre procedures and provide chaperone support where required. Some team members have specialist training in microsuction, providing ear care services for patients.

Two of our HCSWs also lead the practice smoking cessation service, supporting patients to make positive changes to their health.
