Mental Health for Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS)
An update on childhood mental illness provision in Lincolnshire
It is now possible to access the CAHMS service directly via self-referral on the following website:www.lpft.nhs.uk
We would encourage young people or their parents to self-refer to this system rather than waiting to speak with a GP. Childhood mental illness is a very specialist area, GPs can offer general advice, but more often than not a referral is needed and the doctor will simply be transcribing into a letter what is reported by a child or their parents.
