We're proud to be part of the Green Impact for Health initiative

As part of our commitment, we are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint and operate more sustainably. The climate crisis is also a health crisis—healthcare in the UK is responsible for 4–5% of the nation’s carbon emissions. We believe it’s essential to provide high-quality care today while safeguarding the health of future generations by staying within the planet’s environmental limits.

The good news is that many actions that benefit the environment also improve our health. Eating a predominantly plant-based diet, choosing active travel, spending time in nature, avoiding smoking, and reducing pollution are just a few examples. These habits can reduce our reliance on medication, improve overall wellbeing, and ease the burden on the NHS—all while cutting the carbon footprint of healthcare.

As part of our sustainability efforts, we’ve also begun wildflower planting behind the surgery - a small step to support biodiversity and create a healthier local environment.
