De Quervain's syndrome affects the tendons that run through a tunnel on the thumb side of your wrist. It typically causes pain at the base of the thumb which becomes worse with activity.
Following a referral from your GP practice, a 30 minute appointment is made with one of our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and so you are able to go home the same day.
