A ganglion is a lump under the skin that contains fluid. Most ganglions form near the wrist but they can also occur around the foot and ankle.
Following a referral by your GP Practice, you will be offered a 30 minute appointment to have the ganglion removed. As the procedure is done under a local anaesthetic, you will be able to go home the same day.
